On this portion of my portfolio I will display the several steps that I took to finalize my personal literacy narrative.  I have chosen to display the steps of this paper since it was the one that I fully developed by the means of many steps. The initiation to this paper was actually through the very first assignment about us.  After learning more on what a narrative was, we composed three story journals were we talked about three different “episodes” that may have shaped our identity.  This eventually led to the creation of the rough draft of the literacy narratives.  Following this, we had peer reviews.  For these I had assembled many questions that I wanted to be answered by my reviewers.  Below I include the rough draft with the comments provided by my peers. Shortly after we wrote a journal entry describing our next plan of action.  This of course was the creation of the final paper but by considering our peers’ responses. However, I found that my final paper was not as good as it could’ve been.  I had a feeling that it wasn’t going to be to my full potential as soon as it was turned in, because I really did not try to elaborate on my art teacher as much as the audience would’ve liked to hear.  However, after turning in the “final” paper Ms. Andrews provided us with her own feedback.  Her comments helped a lot to see exactly where I needed to improve and focus on in my paper.  This lead to my final revised literacy narrative, in which I went into more detail and also included some examples of what I had talked about in the paper itself.
